How does TM1914 LED strip light work?
TM1914 is a 3-channel (OUTR/OUTG/OUTB) LED constant-current driver dedicated circuit, internal LED chip integrates MCU single-wire dual-channel digital interface, data latch, LED constant current drive, PWM brightness control and other circuits, which can switch input to each other through a dual-channel digital interface (DIN, FDIN) and cascade with DO port so that the external controller can control the chip with only a single wire.
The chip is a single-wire dual-channel communication mode, using the normalization code to send signals, the DIN port selects to access data, the mode is set to 48Bit, where the first 24Bit is the command code, and the last 24Bit is the inspection inverse code; the whole process is the chip on the complex potential to receive data, data received by the DIN and FDIN port, D01/D02 port forwarding to provide display data for the next cascade chip. Before forwarding the data, D01/D02 port always shows a high level. Before the chip receives the Reset signal, the original output of OUTR/OUTG/OUTB remains unchanged; after receiving the Reset signal, it outputs the PWM waveform of the corresponding duty cycle, and the chip waits to receive new data again.
Built-in RC oscillator and clock synchronization according to the online signal, data regenerative transmission to the lower level, the signal does not become distorted as the cascade becomes farther; single-wire dual-channel interface, DIN and FDIN dual-input interface, D01/D02 dual output interface, the signal does not affect the normal operation of other chips due to the abnormality of a chip (except for the abnormality of two adjacent chips)
