The LED Strip Light Knowledge Map
Every article on the SuperLightingLED blog — 120+ guides, about 160,000 words — arranged as a learning path instead of a date list. The blog is updated regularly; most new guides start as a question or a problem a customer brought to us, so the map keeps growing. Start at the top if you are new, or jump to the section that matches your question. Each card shows how long the article takes to read, and the START HERE badge marks the one to open first in each section.
Three ways into the LED strip knowledge map
New to LED strips
Read section 1, then 4 (power and wiring), then the room guide in section 6 that matches your project. That is enough to order the right parts and fit them.
You already have a strip
Sections 4 and 5 cover what usually goes wrong: too little power, a dim far end, the wrong controller. Section 9 is for strips that run hot, flicker or turn yellow.
Planning a bigger job
Section 3 has the buying guides and head-to-head comparisons; section 7 covers profiles and corners. For custom lengths, pre-wired kits and quotes, use the custom lighting services page.
How LED strips actually work
Chip types, COB versus SMD, what a strip is made of and what the numbers on the reel mean. Read these first and every other guide makes sense.
LED strip colour: colour temperature, CRI and the whole RGB alphabet
Warm white or daylight, 3000 K or 4000 K, what CRI 90 buys you, and the difference between RGB, RGBW, RGBCCT and RGBIC.
Picking the right LED strip for the job
Buying guides and head-to-head comparisons so you order the right reel the first time.
LED strip power supplies, voltage drop, cutting and connecting
How much power you need, why long runs go dim at the far end, where to cut, and how to connect without soldering.
Controllers, dimming and addressable LED strips
Remotes, apps, DALI, DMX, TRIAC and 0-10 V, plus the addressable (pixel) strip knowledge system: WS2812B, WS2815, SK6812 and friends.
LED strip installation guides, room by room
Kitchens, stairs, ceilings, mirrors, shelves and saunas: what goes where and how to fix it in place.
Aluminium channels and diffusers for LED strips
Why a profile matters, which shape fits your surface, how to handle corners and how to get a dot-free line of light.
LED neon and silicone diffusers
Making neon-style signs and curves from strip and silicone sleeve, and what not to do when threading them.
LED strip waterproofing, safety, lifespan and troubleshooting
Using strips outside, what IP ratings mean, why a strip runs hot or turns yellow, and how long it should last.
Did the LED strip knowledge map answer it?
If not, send us the question. We add articles to the SuperLightingLED blog based on what customers ask, so yours may be the next one on this map.
